Mission Statement
Kempsville Baptist Church is a family of believers who
seeks to praise the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior by:
- Proclaiming His salvation
- Preparing His followers
- Providing His opportunities for service
- Promoting His spirit of unity
Praise
Praise (Worship) - John 4:23-24
23 "But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the
true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Yes,
the Father wants such people to worship Him. 24 God is
spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
Proclaim
Proclaim (Evangelize) - Matthew 28:19 - 20
19 "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe everything I have
commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of
the age."
Prepare
Prepare (Discipleship) - Colossians 1:28
28 We proclaim Him, warning and teaching everyone with
all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.
Provide
Provide (Ministry) - Matthew 20:26 - 28
26 "It must not be like that among you. On the contrary,
whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27
and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave; 28
just as the Son of Man did not come to be saved, but to serve, and
to give His life - a ransom for many."
Promote
Promote (Fellowship) - 1 John 1:7
7 "But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in
the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of
Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin."
